Sea Mine guide

Crab Cage bait and Clear weather in Desolate Deep are the setup for Sea Mine. The entry describes an inactive naval sea mine that somehow drifted down there, caught in crab cages. It is rated Mythical.

It weighs 200 to 700 kg with a 262.5 kg average, which is 181st of 663 by maximum weight. At C$15.38 per kg an average catch sells for roughly C$4,037, ranking 199th of the 742 documented fish, and it grants 2,000 base XP. Those are strong numbers on both counts.

Desolate Deep also holds Emperor Jellyfish and Spectral Serpent at the same rarity, so you may pull one of the other two while chasing the mine. Reinforced Rod and Trident Rod are sold in the zone, which gives you a ready way to prepare without travelling elsewhere.

My recommendation: this is one of the better paydays in Desolate Deep. If you only need coins, sell it, since a single Sea Mine covers a lot of cheaper catches. If you are levelling, the 2,000 XP is worth just as much as the cash, so the decision comes down to which one you are short on.
