The cheapest pet in the Jungle
Jungle, the fourth zone, asks for 40K Speed and is guarded by the Tiger. Its entry pet is the Chimpanzee, a Rare earning $90/s, ranked 6th of 10 Rares and 186th of 198 overall. That is a small step up from the Desert's Camel ($75/s), and the Chimpanzee's egg is quicker: 30 seconds versus 45.
A Speed reward that does not grow
The Chimpanzee Egg pays +7.2k Speed and $9k. That Speed figure is identical to the Jerboa's in the Desert, and in general Jungle hatch rewards (7.2k to 18k) sit in the same range as Desert ones. Meanwhile the next zone, Snow, requires 170K Speed. Reaching it on hatch rewards alone would take around two dozen Chimpanzee eggs, so this is the stage where the treadmills and trails the wiki mentions start to carry more of the load.
A useful Rift sacrifice
The Jungle is one of the biomes the Riftborn banner draws from. The permanent Rift in the lobby asks for three random pets tied to the active banner and returns one exclusive Rift Egg. The wiki lists the Chimpanzee in Riftborn's Easy tier, along with Penguin, Lava Gecko, Lava Frog, Parrotfish and Swordfish. A spare Chimpanzee is cheap to replace, which makes it a sensible thing to keep on hand when Riftborn is live. Banners rotate roughly every three hours.
