The wiki lists the Tiger as the guardian of the Jungle, the creature you have to slip past to reach the zone's best nests. Bring one of its eggs home and you get the Jungle's strongest Mythic: $28K/s, ranked 20th of 23 Mythics and 148th of 198 overall.

Six minutes is longer than the 5-minute nest reset the wiki describes, so a Tiger egg always spans more than one cycle. That is the main practical difference from the Spider, whose 4:30 egg fits inside one.

The Tiger earns about 27% more and pays 1,800 more Speed per hatch. If your pen has a slot you will not touch for a while, the Tiger is the better use of it.
Be aware that Snow's Sabertooth Tiger outclasses it on both axes: $35K/s from a 4-minute egg. Once you reach Snow, a plain Tiger is quickly replaced.
Rift tier
In the Riftborn sacrifice pool the Tiger sits in the Hard tier. Since the Jungle's own guardian is the Tiger, getting its egg out is one of the tougher steals in this biome, which explains the placement.
