Toucan guide
Ten extra seconds of growing separate the Toucan from the Chimpanzee, and for that wait you get $110/s instead of $90/s. The Toucan is the higher-earning of the Jungle's two Rares, ranked 5th of 10 among Rares and 184th of 198 across the game.
Toucan Egg numbers
- Grow time: 40 seconds
- Reward: +8.1k Speed and $11k
- Base weight: 5 kg
The Speed reward is 900 higher than the Chimpanzee's +7.2k. Neither comes close to closing the 170K gap to Snow on its own, so treat Jungle Rares as income and Rift material rather than as your main Speed source.
Light frame, strong size curve
At 5 kg the Toucan has by far the lightest base weight in the Jungle: the Chimpanzee is 65 kg and the Crocodile 400 kg. Because the wiki's formula measures size relative to base weight, a 500 kg Toucan is already 100 times its base. Estimates from that formula:
- Golden: about $275/s
- Rainbow: about $385/s
- 10 times base weight: about $455/s
- 100 times base weight: about $1.88K/s
- 200 times base weight: about $2.61K/s
- Rainbow at 100 times base weight: about $6.59K/s
That last case would outearn a plain Gorilla ($4.8K/s), the Jungle's lower Legendary.
Rift value
The Riftborn banner draws from the Jungle, and the wiki places the Toucan in Riftborn's Medium sacrifice tier, a step above the Chimpanzee's Easy. When Riftborn is the active banner, a spare Toucan is one of the pets the permanent Rift may ask for in exchange for an exclusive Rift Egg.
Looking ahead, Snow's Penguin earns $140/s, so a plain Toucan is a short stay in your best pen.
