Froggo is the second monster of the Monster Egg, a $50K/s pet that came out in the same Update 2 as the Hungry Frog event. The two aren't connected on the wiki: the Hungry Frog is a feeding event where you bring parasite-infected eggs back to base, while Froggo is simply one of the six monsters in a store egg.
The egg behind it
Update 2 put the Monster Egg in the Robux Store with six monsters, each with a rare Mecha variant. The wiki describes the Monster Egg as limited, and Update 4 swapped it for the Luminous Egg. Inside, Froggo sits second from the bottom:
