Guide
A limited Robux egg with six monsters
The Monster Egg was a limited egg sold for Robux in the shop. It arrived in Update 2, alongside the Titan Temple biome and the Hungry Frog event, with six monsters to hatch: Scorpio, Froggo, Crawler, Crocodon, Krakenoid and Dreadscale. The update notes add that every monster has a rare Mecha variant, and those Mecha versions are listed in the wiki under the Mecha Egg. In Update 4 the Monster Egg was replaced by the Luminous Egg, so it is no longer the current way to chase these pets. The wiki does not document the Mecha chance, so treat it as rare and nothing more precise.
Every one of these pets has the Monster rarity, but their income spreads very wide, from $10K/s to $2B/s:
- Scorpio $10K/s, Froggo $50K/s, Crawler $1.5M/s
- Crocodon $30M/s, Krakenoid $500M/s, Dreadscale $2B/s
Normal versus Mecha income
The Mecha versions earn more than their normal counterparts, but the gap shrinks sharply as you go up:
- Scorpio $10K/s becomes Mecha Scorpio $45M/s, 4,500 times more.
- Froggo $50K/s becomes Mecha Froggo $155M/s, about 3,100 times.
- Crawler $1.5M/s becomes Mecha Crawler $320M/s, about 213 times.
- Crocodon $30M/s becomes Mecha Crocodon $680M/s, about 23 times.
- Krakenoid $500M/s becomes Mecha Krakenoid $1B/s, 2 times.
- Dreadscale $2B/s becomes Mecha Dreadscale $4B/s, 2 times.
The pattern is that the Mecha version is almost a different tier of pet for the weak monsters. A Mecha Scorpio at $45M/s outearns the normal Crocodon at $30M/s. For the strong monsters it is a plain doubling. These are the base incomes listed by the wiki, without mutations or weight bonuses.
The wiki also leaves out how the Monster Egg was priced and its hatch odds, so this page limits itself to the pets and the update history it does document.
