Better than the Jungle's guardian on both counts

A 4-minute egg fits inside one 5-minute nest reset with time to spare, which the Tiger's 6-minute egg never does. The +17.6k Speed is also 3,200 more than the Tiger gives. If you arrive in Snow with a plain Tiger as your best Mythic, the first Sabertooth you hatch is a straight upgrade.
Sabertooth or Mammoth?
Snow's two Mythics are close:

Interestingly, the wiki lists the Sabertooth Tiger in Riftborn's Medium sacrifice tier, while the Jungle Tiger sits in Hard. When Riftborn asks for Medium pets, a plain Sabertooth is a reasonable thing to hand over.
