The guardian whose egg pays nothing up front
The wiki names the Scorpion as the guardian of the Desert, and the Scorpion Egg is unusual: its listed hatch reward is None. Every other egg in the first three biomes pays Speed and cash when it hatches. The Scorpion only pays through its income, $18.5K/s, which ranks 22nd of 23 Mythic pets and 152nd of 198 overall.
Income versus reward
The obvious comparison is the other Desert Mythic, the Sand Spider:
