Short answer first: Steal an Egg has no codes right now. The wiki says the game has no codes and no way to redeem them, so there is no box to type one into. Our Steal an Egg codes page tracks this and will change the day that stops being true.
The good news is that the game hands out a lot of free stuff anyway. This page lists every free (or cheap) reward our data documents: a 10,000 Speed gift, the Speed and cash attached to every egg, and the event currencies you earn every 30 minutes.

Are there Steal an Egg codes?
No. Many sites still publish "codes" pages for Steal an Egg, and the ones that check carefully all reach the same answer: there are no active codes, and the game has no redeem menu.
There is no redeem box
In most Roblox games, codes go into a menu with a text field. Steal an Egg doesn't have one. That's why every "how to redeem" tutorial for this game ends in a dead end.
What you can do instead is collect the rewards below. Most of them are free, and a few are worth more than a typical code would be.
Free 10,000 Speed: how to claim it
Speed is what lets you outrun the guardians in higher biomes, so this is the best free reward for a new player. The wiki lists it as a "free gift" for three quick steps:
- 1Like Steal an Egg on its Roblox page.
- 2Favorite the game (the star icon).
- 3Join the Community (the game's Roblox group).
Do all three and the reward is 10,000 Speed. That is more than the 900 Speed you need for Lake and the 10K needed for Desert, so a brand-new account can skip ahead almost right away. See our Speed page and the biome list for every requirement.
Free Speed and cash from egg rewards
Every biome egg comes with a reward in Speed and cash, listed in our data next to its grow time. The wiki doesn't spell out the exact moment the reward is paid, so use the numbers below to compare eggs, not as a stopwatch.
We divided each egg's Speed reward by its grow time to find the egg in each biome that gives the most Speed per second of growing. This is a data ranking, not an opinion:
| Biome | Speed needed | Best Speed egg | Reward | Grow time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | 0 | Chicken | +420 Speed, $100 | 10s |
| Lake | 900 | Frog | +2k Speed, $300 | 15s |
| Desert | 10K | Jerboa | +7.2k Speed, $600 | 20s |
| Jungle | 40K | Chimpanzee | +7.2k Speed, $9k | 30s |
| Snow | 170K | Penguin | +12.8k Speed, $14k | 45s |
| Volcano | 700K | Lava Gecko | +24k Speed, $18k | 1m |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | Parrotfish | +72k Speed, $22k | 1m 15s |
| Prehistoric | 18M | Dodo | +240k Speed, $28k | 1m 30s |
| Cosmic | 700M | Centapede | +960k Speed, $150k | 2m |
| Cherry Blossom | 2.5B | Crane | +2.7m Speed, $400k | 3m |

Speed comes from fast eggs, cash from rare ones
The data shows a clear pattern. Common, fast eggs give the most Speed for their grow time, while rare, slow eggs give the most cash.
Volcano is a good example. Lava Gecko gives +24k Speed in 1 minute, about 400 Speed per second of growing. Lava Dragon gives +60k Speed but takes 5 hours, so it works out to about 3 per second. For cash it flips: Lava Dragon's $10b reward is roughly $555k per second of growing, against $300 for Lava Gecko.

So if you are stuck below the next biome's Speed requirement, quick eggs from the table above are the free way to close the gap. If you need cash for treadmills or trails, the rarest eggs you can carry home pay far better.
Free rewards from events
Several events repeat on a timer and give out their own currency. None of them costs Robux to join.
| Event | How often | What you do | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rift | Every 30 minutes | Enter the Rift and defeat the Overlord | Boss Tokens + Boss Mastery Points |
| Dr. Scramble | Every 30 minutes | Defeat Dr. Scramble in his Mecha | Samples + 1 Boss Mastery Point per win |
| Nitro Race | Every 30 minutes | Race other players | Trophies; 1st place moves the Win Pass |
| Shooting Star | Rare, at night | Be in the server from the start of the in-game day | 1 Shooting Star |
| Butterfly Bloom | Inside the Enchanted Tree | Catch butterflies with a Butterfly Net | Enchanted Mutation consumable |
Rift: Boss Tokens and Boss Mastery
A Rift opens somewhere on the map every 30 minutes. Defeat the Overlord inside and you earn Boss Tokens for the Boss Shop, which sells temporary Cash, Speed and Treadmill boosts plus a Mutation Shard. Each win also adds Boss Mastery Points, and the Mastery track includes eggs that already carry the Fractured mutation (x2.75 in our data).

We cover this in depth in our Boss Tokens and Boss Mastery guide and on the Rift Event page.
Dr. Scramble: Samples and Boss Mastery pets

Every 30 minutes, Dr. Scramble takes over the map in his Mecha. Each time you beat him you earn Samples and 1 Boss Mastery Point. Points unlock free pets:
| Boss Mastery Points | Reward pet | Rarity | Income |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Eye Bat #021 | Legendary | $115K/s |
| 25 | Citadel Snail #007 | Mythic | $12.5M/s |
| 50 | Uncoiled Armadillo | Cosmic | $625K/s |
| 75 | Mecha Chompa | Secret | $600M/s |
| 100 | Pink Dragon Experiment #010 | Eternal | $2.5B/s |

That last pet is the big one: an Eternal at $2.5B/s, earned only by showing up. Details live on the Dr. Scramble's Laboratory page.
Nitro Race: Trophies and the Win Pass
Added in Update 8, the Nitro Race starts every 30 minutes. Racing earns Trophies, which buy boosters, Nitro Mutation consumables and an exclusive rare bat. Finishing 1st moves the Win Pass forward, and its win milestones unlock 5 new pets you can hatch and use as race mounts.
Shooting Stars (nightly)
Every night there's a rare chance of a Shooting Star event. The sky turns dark, a star falls, and every eligible player in the server receives a Shooting Star. You must be in the server from the start of that in-game day, so hopping between servers to chase stars doesn't work.

A Shooting Star turns one pet into a mount, and the star is used up. It can't be undone, so pick the pet carefully. Stellaris the Star Handler also sells up to 5 stars per week (resets every Saturday), but our sources don't list that price.
Butterfly Bloom: Enchanted Mutation
This one is for later in the game. You need 50B Speed to find the Wisp, help him back to the Enchanted Tree, and then grab a Butterfly Net inside it. Butterflies caught during Butterfly Bloom trade for the Enchanted Mutation consumable, which works 100% of the time according to the Update 7 notes.
Trade pets you don't need: Rift Sacrifice and the Laboratory
A permanent Rift in the lobby asks for 3 random pets. Give it all three and you get 1 exclusive Rift Egg. The pets it asks for depend on the active banner (Riftborn, Riftbeasts or Shattered Rift), which rotates roughly every 3 hours.
Dr. Scramble's Laboratory replaced the old Rift Trade-In Machine in Update 6. You can now trade eggs directly instead of hatching them first, and hitting pity now guarantees the top reward. Pity also carries over if you leave or the banner changes.
This turns duplicate pets into a shot at something new, and it costs nothing but pets you were not using.
What costs Robux (so you know what isn't free)
Some things in Steal an Egg are paid. Here are the prices our shop page lists:
| Item | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| X2 MONEY! (gamepass) | 399 Robux | Earn x2 more money |
| X2 Growth Speed! (gamepass) | 467 Robux | Eggs grow x2 faster |
| Speed Multiplier x2 | 3 Robux | x2 Speed |
| Speed Multiplier x16 | 39 Robux | x16 Speed |
| Speed Multiplier x256 | 299 Robux | x256 Speed |
| Speed Multiplier x4K | 1375 Robux | x4K Speed |

The store also sells special eggs such as the Extinction Egg (Update 6). Everything else on this page can be earned for free by playing.
How to spot fake codes
Because "Steal an Egg codes" is a popular search, fake lists and scam pages show up a lot. Here's how to stay safe:
- No redeem box means no codes. If a video shows a code menu, it's from a different game or edited.
- Never type your password into a site that promises codes, pets or Speed.
- "Free Robux" or "free pets" generators are scams. Pets come from eggs, events and trades inside the game.
- Check the date and the source. Our update log lists what each update really added.

Nowhere, because there's no redeem menu in the game. Any tutorial showing one is about a different game.
How do you get free Speed in Steal an Egg?
Like the game, favorite it and join its Roblox group to get 10,000 Speed. After that, fast eggs such as Frog (+2k Speed, 15s) or Dodo (+240k Speed, 1m 30s) give the most Speed for their grow time.
Can you get free pets in Steal an Egg?
Yes. Beating Dr. Scramble gives Boss Mastery Points that unlock five pets, from Eye Bat #021 at 10 points to Pink Dragon Experiment #010 at 100. The Rift Sacrifice also trades 3 pets for a Rift Egg.

Nothing in the official update notes we have mentions codes. Until a redeem menu appears in the game, treat any code list as fake.
