Abilities
5Bloodbane Drain
The Red Commander propels himself towards the player and, if hit, immediately grabs the player by the neck, damaging them and stunning them.
Try to stay out of range. If hit, you can Instinct-trick the damage and knockback.
Scarlet Tear
The Red Commander launches six slashes towards the player, leaving claw marks on the surrounding floor or walls in front of him.
Try to stay out of range.
Devourer of Worlds
The Red Commander launches a dark red leech-like blast at the player, pulling the player in if hit, and then summons five energy balls around the player which then attack them.
Try to stay out of range. If hit, the pull is Instinct-trickable. Beware of the energy balls if his attack hits when holding a move, as the move can be interrupted.
Multidirectional Devourer
The Red Commander enters a stance and a red circle starts growing around him, charging an attack. Once the red circle disappears, he uses the in multiple directions (only horizontally), summoning red orbs that trap players who come close to it for a few seconds.
Get out of the circle and try to get as far as possible, or try to get higher or lower than him to avoid the orbs. The orbs are Instinct-trickable, but they will drain most of the player's dodges and will still stun them, and they are able to use moves while stunned. The player will sometimes not get pulled by the orbs when staying close enough to him, but it is quite risky. The player can counter this attack by using a move that grants i-frames/stuns the boss, like Ice's .

Combat Tips
- The Red Commander is able to use both long and short range moves, so it is best to use long range items/fruits and keep distance from him.
- While within the Oni Realm (Interior), players deal x4 of their max damage.
- The Red Commander does not heal from using Bloodbane Drain.
- Use stuns fruits like Ice, Dark, Sand, Lightning , Dough or Control, or any fruits with heavy crowd control to keep the boss in bay. Fruits with high burst-damage, like Buddha and Gas, are also recommended.
- Sanguine Art and Godhuman are excellent choices due to their high stun. Electric Claw is not recommended because there's a high chance that the player will clip through the ground while using its [C] move.
- It is unknown why this occurs, but the boss is immune to the held Godhuman and Dough V2 's slam (Often occurs when facing him alone)
- The Red Commander targets the players closest or lowest (health) to him before moving to the next, so maintaining distance is necessary.
- It is recommended to get more than two or three people to fight the Red Commander, as he is very difficult to beat alone.
- Players do not lose Bounty/Honor when dying to Red Commander.
- It is recommended to equip either the Oni Helmet or Sanguine Cloak before defeating the boss to increase the reward (390x Oni Tokens instead of 300x).
- When the Red Commander uses Multidirectional Devourer, it is best to get below or above him before the move ends to escape damage and stun.
- Mammoth can be a very good option when transformed due to the F move able to stun the Red Commander infinitely, allowing allies to damage him with ease.
- It is recommended to use an Oni Soul, as the Red Commander will begin to mostly target the clone, severely hampering his threat level.
- The Red Commander can use Multidirectional Devourer even in the air, so avoid fighting him off the ground for extended periods of time. ==Trivia==
- The Red Commander is the first ever NPC to use the Dash and Air Jump ability to catch up to players. *

Red Commander Strategy & Best Use
The Red Commander is a high-ranking military boss found in the Second Sea's combat zones, stationed at around level 1350. Dressed in signature crimson armor, this seasoned warrior uses a combination of heavy sword strikes and tactical bomb throws that create persistent explosive zones in the arena. The Red Commander is defined by his arena-control style: his bomb throws force players to constantly reposition, while his sword combos punish players who stay stationary. He has a solid HP pool and moderate speed that keeps sustained pressure throughout the encounter.
The explosive zones left by bomb throws are the biggest positioning hazard. Players should memorize the throw animation — a winding-back stance — and move laterally rather than backward to avoid detonation zones while staying in damage range. The Red Commander's sword combos have three-hit patterns; dodging after the second hit and countering before the third is the ideal response for melee fighters. Ranged players can attack from outside sword range while managing bomb zones with careful lateral movement.
Red Commander's drops include crimson-type accessories and high-tier materials sought for Second Sea crafting. His mid-range position in the Second Sea progression means players farm him during the 1200–1500 leveling phase, making him a transitional boss between the early and late Second Sea content. The respawn timer is competitive, and players in low-population servers can chain multiple kills efficiently for accessories and Beli accumulation.
