Hogchoker guide
Hogchoker is the plain, sandy-colored flatfish of Mushgrove Swamp, a Common that hugs the ocean floor according to its description. It bites on Sapphire Krill during Day hours, in Clear weather and only in Summer.
It is a low-end fish. Weight runs from 4 kg to 21 kg with a 7 kg average, and that max ranks 390th of 663. At C$4 per kg, an average catch sells for C$28, ranking 706th of 742 documented fish, so very few are worth less. Base XP is just 20, which makes it one of the least rewarding things in the zone.
Swamp Bass and White Perch are the other Common fish in Mushgrove Swamp. The rods sold there are the Frog Rod and the Fungal Rod. Hogchoker is background noise: if one lands, sell it, but do not build a session around Sapphire Krill just to find it. Better to use that bait for whatever else the zone offers at higher tiers.
