Update 4 replaced the Monster Egg with the Luminous Egg and kept the same mechanic: when the egg hatches, there's a rare chance it re-rolls into a Luminous variant of that animal. The wiki lists the six variants as a separate Luminous Reroll group. It doesn't publish the re-roll odds, a grow time or a hatch reward for Luminous Spike, and since this comes from a special egg rather than a biome nest, Speed thresholds and guardians are irrelevant.
