The re-roll that produces it
Update 4 replaced the Monster Egg with the Luminous Egg and kept the Monster Egg's trick: a rare chance for a hatch to re-roll into a Luminous variant of the same animal. Hatch a Spirit Manta and that re-roll can give you this one instead. The wiki doesn't publish the odds, a grow time or a hatch reward, and since the egg isn't found in biome nests, Speed and guardians don't come into it.
