Same income as a Red Panda
Shardling earns $450K/s, exactly what Red Panda earns in the Cherry Blossom biome. Both are Mythic. The difference is the route: Red Panda hatches from a biome nest you can steal from, while Shardling only comes out of the Rift. It is the 12th of 16 Rift pets by income and tied for 6th of 23 Mythic pets.
That comparison has a practical side. On the Shattered Rift banner, Red Panda appears among the Medium-tier pets the lobby Rift can request. If a request asks for one, you would be giving up the same income Shardling provides, in exchange for a Rift Egg whose result is not guaranteed to be Shardling.
About the name
Despite the "shard" in its name, the wiki does not link Shardling to the Shattered Rift banner or to the Mutation Shard sold in the Boss Shop. The Rift page lists all Rift pets together, across every banner and boss reward, without assigning them.
How the Rift works, briefly
- A lobby Rift asks for 3 random pets and gives one exclusive Rift Egg.
- Three banners rotate every 3 hours, synchronized across all servers.
- Pity carries over even if you leave or the banner changes.
Update 6 says the Rift Trade-In Machine was replaced by Dr. Scramble's Laboratory; the wiki's Rift page does not clarify whether the sacrifice still works this way.
