Ventinal carries the Cosmic label but earns $585K/s, only 1.3 times the Mythic Shardling just below it in the Rift lineup. Within its own rarity it is 5th from the bottom of 28 Cosmic pets, and 11th of the 16 Rift pets.
Between the biome Cosmics
Its income lands between two Cosmics you can steal from biome nests: King Mammoth from Snow at $400K/s and Whale Shark from Abyss Ocean at $700K/s. Both of those appear in the Rift's sacrifice lists. Whale Shark is a Hard-tier request on the Riftborn and Riftbeasts banners, and King Mammoth a Hard-tier request on Riftborn. Trading away a Whale Shark for a Rift Egg would cost more income than a Ventinal returns, so the sacrifice is only a clear gain when the egg lands on something higher in the Rift list.
Where the Rift Egg comes from
The wiki describes a permanent Rift in the lobby that asks for 3 random pets and gives one exclusive Rift Egg. Its three banners (Riftborn, Riftbeasts and Shattered Rift) each hold five exclusive animals and rotate about every 3 hours. The wiki does not say which banner Ventinal belongs to. Also note that Update 6 replaced the Rift Trade-In Machine with Dr. Scramble's Laboratory; the Rift page has not been updated to explain what that means for the sacrifice.
