Shardwing guide
Shardwing is the best of the four Secret pets the wiki lists for the Rift, at $145M/s. Its base weight is also on the light side for a Rift pet, 9,500 kg against the 13,000 kg shown for most of them.
The four Rift Secrets compared
- Abyss Overlord: $1.25M/s
- Wendigo: $15M/s
- Mawbreaker: $60M/s
- Shardwing: $145M/s
Shardwing earns about 2.4 times Mawbreaker and more than 100 times Abyss Overlord. Across all 35 Secret pets it ranks tied for 21st. Its income matches Stag, the Secret of the Cherry Blossom biome, which the wiki lists with a 3-hour grow time and a reward of +4.8m Speed and $14.5b.
The step up to Eternal
Right above Shardwing the Rift switches to Eternals. The cheapest of them, World Eater, earns $500M/s, about 3.4 times Shardwing. A Rainbow Shardwing (about $508M/s with the wiki's formula) would roughly match a plain World Eater, which is a useful benchmark if you are deciding which copy to keep in a limited pen.
Getting it
The wiki describes a lobby Rift that asks for 3 random pets and hands out one exclusive Rift Egg, with three banners of five exclusive animals rotating every 3 hours across all servers. Which banner holds Shardwing is not documented. The Update 6 notes say the Rift Trade-In Machine was replaced by Dr. Scramble's Laboratory, and the wiki has not updated the Rift page to match.
