Cerberus guide
The guardian of the Volcano
According to the wiki, Cerberus is the beast that guards the nests of the Volcano, and its egg holds the biome's Secret-rarity pet. Cerberus earns $8M/s, ranking 31st of 35 Secrets and tied for 97th of 198 overall.
Cerberus Egg
- Grow time: 2 hours
- Reward: +42k Speed and $800m
- Base weight: 9,000 kg
Two hours is 24 of the 5-minute nest resets the wiki describes. It is meant to sit in one pen slot while shorter Volcano eggs rotate through the rest.
On the Secret ladder
Fifteen minutes more than the Yeti buys 60% more income, which makes Cerberus a clear upgrade if you are already committing a slot to a long egg. Inside the Volcano, though, the two Eternals above it, Phoenix and Lava Dragon, earn more than ten times as much for eggs of 4.5 and 5 hours.
Speed and Rift
The +42k Speed reward is useful but small against the 2.5M that Abyss Ocean requires, under 2% of it. Cerberus does not appear in any Rift sacrifice tier on the wiki, so there is no banner that will ask you for one.
Mutation and size estimates
From the formula the wiki documents:
- Golden: about $20M/s
- Rainbow: about $28M/s
- 10 times base weight: about $33.1M/s
- 100 times base weight: about $137M/s
- 200 times base weight: about $190M/s
- Rainbow at 100 times base weight: about $479M/s
A Rainbow Cerberus would already outearn a plain Kraken. With a 9-tonne base, the 100x tier means a 900-tonne pet, so the color mutation is the more realistic upgrade.
