Boar — In-Depth Analysis
The Boar is a newer addition, introduced with the Jungle Biome update on 1 March 2026, and it lives specifically in The Jungle. That alone tells you when it appears: you will not run into it in the classic forest or snow zones, only once you push into the jungle region, so it is an encounter for players who have progressed into that biome.
Its threat level is only partly documented — it carries 125 HP, the same health pool as an Alpha Wolf, while its damage and walkspeed are still listed as TBA. Until those are confirmed, treat the Boar with caution rather than assumption: a jungle animal with 125 HP is not a trivial swat, so come with a real weapon and be ready for a charge typical of boar-type mobs. Fight it in the open where you can read its movement rather than in dense cover.
Loot is light, with just Morsel (1-2) confirmed, so this is more a survival-and-food encounter than a key farm. Taming is cheap and approachable, though — only 2 hearts, Corn x1, and Morsel x1 — making the Boar an easy early jungle companion to recruit.
